Ingredients
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 3/4 cup of milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons of melted butter
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and grease it lightly.
- Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form and the edges look set, then flip to cook the other side.
- Serve warm with your favorite toppings, like syrup, fruits, or butter.
Pro Tip
For fluffier pancakes, let the batter rest for at least 5 minutes before cooking. This step is especially important for the 2nd batch!
